ProDispo.ca is a search and connection platform designed to help users find the right person, business, or organization based on their needs, criteria, and availability.

3. Scope

This policy explains how ProDispo.ca collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information in connection with the use of the platform, its services, and its browser extensions.

4. ProDispo Browser Extension

ProDispo offers a browser extension that allows users to quickly search for services directly from their browsing interface.

How it works and data used:
The extension only uses the keywords entered by the user in its search field to generate real-time suggestions and redirect the user to the corresponding results on ProDispo.ca.

Privacy protection:
The extension does not collect the user’s browsing history, does not monitor visited websites, and does not access any personal content, files, or sensitive personal information.

Sharing and advertising:
No data is sold, shared, or transmitted to third parties. The extension contains no advertising scripts, no third-party trackers, and performs no behavioral or advertising tracking.

Information entered into the search field is used exclusively to help connect users with professionals on ProDispo.ca.

5. Creation of professional profiles from public information

As part of its referencing mission, ProDispo.ca may collect and use manifestly public information found on a service provider’s professional website.

This information may include, for example: business name, city, professional email address, service description, website URL, or any other information made public by the professional on their website.

This processing is based on ProDispo.ca’s legitimate interest in offering a tool that helps the public easily find service providers.

When a profile is created:

  • it is immediately integrated into the search engine;
  • the professional concerned is notified by email;
  • they may access their account free of charge;
  • upon first login, they must create their password and accept the Terms of Use as well as this policy;
  • they may correct, complete, or update their profile at any time;
  • they may request the permanent deletion of their profile at any time, free of charge and without justification.

Any deletion or modification request is processed within a maximum of two (2) business days, by email at info@prodispo.ca or through the website contact form.

6. Data collected

  • Technical data (IP address, cookies, connection logs)
  • Anonymized or pseudonymized data for statistics and security purposes
🧑‍💼 Professionals (account creation)
  • Business name
  • Professional contact details (e.g., city, email, website)

Certain information may be made public on the professional profile in order to allow referencing in the search engine.

Payments are processed by secure third-party providers (e.g., Stripe via WooCommerce). Banking data is never stored on ProDispo.ca servers.

7. Purposes of collection

  • To provide connection services;
  • To allow users to search for services and connect with providers;
  • To process payments;
  • To communicate with users;
  • To comply with applicable legal and tax obligations.

8. Data sharing

Personal information is not sold or rented.

It may only be shared with providers required for the operation of the website (e.g., hosting, payment, technical tools).
