ProDispo offers intelligent text and voice search, search filters, profile browsing, and the “Is there a ProDispo?” feature.

Individuals open to employment may, when the feature is available, attach a PDF résumé and certain professional documents to their profile.

Their accessibility depends on the publication settings and features actually offered by ProDispo.

Users are encouraged not to include sensitive or unnecessary personal information in documents intended to be viewed by third parties.

Uploaded documents are processed for profile presentation, account management, and operation of related features.

7. Intelligent Text and Voice Search

ProDispo allows users to freely describe their needs in writing or by using their device's microphone to search for service providers or individuals open to employment opportunities.

When a written search is performed, the entered text may be sent to ProDispo's analysis system, which uses the OpenAI API to help interpret the expressed need and identify relevant professions, specialties, and other search criteria.

When a user performs a voice search, ProDispo relies on the speech recognition functionality supported by their browser. This functionality converts spoken words into text.

Depending on the browser, device, and settings used, the audio processing required for transcription may be performed by third-party services associated with the browser. ProDispo does not control the technical processing performed by the browser provider.

The text produced by speech recognition is then used by ProDispo to interpret the request and suggest search criteria. This text may be transmitted to the OpenAI API for the same purposes as a written search.

The voice search functionality currently implemented does not provide for ProDispo to record or retain audio files or transmit them directly to OpenAI. This statement does not cover processing that may be carried out independently by the browser or its provider to enable speech recognition.

Microphone access requires the user's permission through their browser or device. This permission can be managed through the corresponding settings.

Users are encouraged to avoid including sensitive, confidential, or unnecessary personal information in written or voice searches.

Automated results and suggestions may be incomplete or contain interpretation errors. They are intended to facilitate searches and do not constitute verification of the qualifications of listed profiles.

8. Geolocation and Geographic Searches

Users may specify a city, address, or territory to perform a geographic search.

ProDispo uses Google Maps Platform services, including mapping, place searches, and geocoding.

Certain information relating to geographic searches may be transmitted to the Google services necessary to process them.

When device geolocation is offered, its use requires the user's permission, according to the settings of their browser or device.

Location information is used, among other purposes, to identify relevant profiles based on distance or the territory being searched.

Users may also perform searches by manually entering a location, when that option is available.

9. “Is there a ProDispo?” Feature

The “Is there a ProDispo?” feature allows users to submit an availability request free of charge, without creating an account, to professionals matching their criteria.

To submit a request, the user provides an email address. They may also specify a preferred timeframe and describe their needs.

Search criteria, including the service, city, territory, search radius, and consultation method, may be associated with the request.

Relevant professionals may receive an email notification containing the information needed to assess their availability, including search criteria and the message provided by the user.

When a professional confirms their availability, ProDispo sends the requester an email containing the relevant professional contact information and a link to the detailed profile.

ProDispo may record information necessary for operating and monitoring this feature, including the date, request criteria, professionals notified, and availability confirmations.

This information may also contribute to aggregated statistics, in accordance with this Policy.

Profile holders may change their preferences to stop receiving availability request notifications.

Users are encouraged not to include sensitive personal information or unnecessary identifying details in the optional description of their needs, since this message may be shared with the professionals concerned.

10. Statistics and Geographic Data

ProDispo may produce statistics concerning expressed needs and the use of its features.

These statistics may include:

• service categories and services searched;
• territories, regional county municipalities (MRCs), and administrative regions;
• number of search results;
• searches returning no results;
• availability requests submitted;
• notifications and availability confirmations.

This information helps ProDispo understand expressed needs, improve the platform, and document certain geographic or sector-specific trends.

Aggregated statistical results may be presented to organizations or institutional partners.

ProDispo does not sell personal information or lists of individual contact details.

Aggregated data must be prepared in a manner that reduces the risk of identifying individuals, particularly when statistical volumes are low.

11. Creating Profiles from Publicly Available Information

Where this practice is used, ProDispo may collect publicly available professional information, including information found on a business or organization's website, within the limits permitted by applicable laws.

The individual or organization concerned may request correction or deletion of their profile free of charge by emailing info@prodispo.ca .

ProDispo aims to process profile correction or deletion requests within two business days, subject to necessary verification.

The fact that information is publicly available does not exempt ProDispo from complying with legal requirements governing its collection, use, and disclosure.

12. ProDispo Browser Extensions

ProDispo offers extensions for certain browsers, including Chrome, Edge, and Firefox, to facilitate access to service searches.

Search terms entered through an extension may be used to display suggestions or open corresponding results on ProDispo.

The extensions are not designed to monitor overall browsing history, analyze the content of visited websites, or conduct advertising tracking.

They do not contain advertising sold by ProDispo. Data necessary for their operation may pass through technical services used to perform searches.

DeepL and WPML: these tools are used in the translation process and bilingual presentation of ProDispo content.

Depending on the feature used, text required for processing may be shared with the relevant technology providers.

Users should avoid including sensitive or unnecessary personal information in text submitted for automated analysis or translation.

Automated processing may contain errors and does not replace the verification required by users.

Where a decision based exclusively on automated processing of personal information is subject to applicable laws, the individuals concerned benefit from the information and remedies provided by those laws.

As part of “Is there a ProDispo?”, relevant professionals may receive the request criteria and message, but not the requester's email address.

When a professional confirms their availability, the relevant professional contact details and profile link are sent to the requester.

Disclosures of personal information must be limited to authorized purposes and comply with applicable legal requirements.

16. Processing Information Outside Quebec

Certain technology providers, including artificial intelligence, translation, mapping, and infrastructure services, may process or host personal information outside Quebec or Canada.

Before disclosing personal information outside Quebec, ProDispo must comply with applicable obligations, including those relating to privacy impact assessments and appropriate agreements.

Processing locations and applicable safeguards may vary depending on the providers and features used.

• Accounts and profiles: during their active period and, after closure, in accordance with applicable obligations.
• Résumés and uploaded documents: according to the profile's publication period and applicable deletion and retention requirements.
• Billing information: for the period required by applicable tax and accounting obligations.
• Availability requests: for the period necessary to process and monitor them and fulfill authorized purposes.
• Search and statistical data: according to operational, analytical, and retention needs applicable to their nature.
• Technical logs: for a period proportionate to security, troubleshooting, and operational needs.

At the end of the applicable retention period, personal information is securely destroyed or anonymized when legal requirements are met.
