ProDispo is a platform that allows users to find service businesses, self-employed service providers and organizations based on their needs, preferences and availability.

3. Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ProDispo collects, uses, retains and protects personal information in connection with the use of the platform, its services and its browser extensions.

4. ProDispo Browser Extension

ProDispo offers a browser extension that allows users to quickly search for services directly from their browser interface.

How it works and information used:
The extension uses only the keywords entered by the user in the search field to generate real-time suggestions and redirect the user to the corresponding results on ProDispo.

Privacy protection:
The extension does not collect the user’s overall browsing history, monitor the websites visited or access any personal content, files or sensitive personal information.

Sharing and advertising:
No information is sold, shared or disclosed to third parties. The extension does not contain advertising scripts or third-party trackers and does not perform behavioural or advertising tracking.

Information entered in the search field is used exclusively to help users find service businesses, self-employed service providers and organizations on ProDispo.

5. Creation of service profile Using Publicly Available Information

As part of its service-listing and search activities, ProDispo may collect and use information that is clearly available to the public on the website of a service business, self-employed service provider or organization.

This information may include, without limitation, the business or organization name, city, professional email address, description of services, website URL or any other information voluntarily made public.

This processing is based on ProDispo’s legitimate interest in providing a tool that allows members of the public to find service providers that meet their needs.

When a service profile is created:

  • it is immediately included in the ProDispo search engine;
  • the business, self-employed service provider or organization concerned is notified by email;
  • the listing owner may access the associated account;
  • upon first sign-in, the listing owner must create a password and accept the Terms and Conditions and this Privacy Policy;
  • the listing owner may correct, complete or update the listing at any time;
  • the listing owner may request the permanent deletion of the listing at any time, without charge and without having to provide a reason.

Requests to delete or modify a listing will be processed within a maximum of two (2) business days. Requests may be submitted by email to info@prodispo.ca or through the website’s contact form.

6. Information We Collect

  • Anonymous or pseudonymized information used for statistics, platform improvement and security purposes

  • Business contact information (city, email address, telephone number and website, when provided)

  • Any information voluntarily provided to complete the listing

Certain information may be made publicly available on a listing in order to make it searchable through the ProDispo search engine.

Information made public on a listing may also be indexed by search engines, including Google, to help users discover the services offered.

Payments are processed through secure third-party providers (such as Stripe via WooCommerce). Payment card information is never stored on ProDispo's servers.

7. Purposes of Collection

  • Help users find service businesses that match their needs;
  • Increase the visibility and discoverability of services offered through ProDispo and, where information is public, through search engines;
  • Process payments;
  • Communicate with users;
  • Improve the platform's features, quality and security;
  • Comply with applicable legal and tax obligations.

8. Sharing of Personal Information

ProDispo does not sell or rent personal information to third parties.

Personal information may be shared only with service providers that are necessary for the operation of the platform, including providers responsible for web hosting, payment processing, content translation, communications, website analytics or other technical services required to operate ProDispo.

These service providers receive access only to the information required to perform the services entrusted to them and are required to comply with appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.

Some service providers may be located outside Quebec or Canada. Whenever personal information is transferred outside these jurisdictions, ProDispo implements reasonable measures to ensure an appropriate level of protection in accordance with applicable privacy laws, including contractual safeguards or other recognized protection mechanisms.

9. Retention of Personal Information

  • Billing information: retained for a minimum of seven (7) years to comply with tax obligations;
  • Active accounts: retained for as long as the account remains active;
  • Technical information: retained for a reasonable period to ensure the security, operation and continuous improvement of the platform.

10. Security

ProDispo implements reasonable technical, administrative and organizational safeguards to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, disclosure or alteration. However, no method of transmitting information over the Internet or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. Privacy Incidents

If a privacy incident presents a risk of serious harm, affected individuals will be notified in accordance with applicable laws, including Quebec's Law 25. When required, ProDispo also maintains a register of privacy incidents.

12. Your Rights

Subject to applicable laws, including Quebec's Law 25, you have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Right of access: obtain a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Right to correction: request the correction of inaccurate, incomplete or outdated personal information.
  • Right to deletion: request the deletion of your personal information where permitted by law.
  • Right to object: object to certain processing activities based on legitimate interest, where permitted by law.
  • Right to withdraw consent: withdraw your consent whenever processing is based on your consent.

13. Use of Artificial Intelligence

ProDispo may use artificial intelligence tools to enhance certain platform services, including content translation, text optimization, search engine optimization (SEO), bilingual content generation and the automation of selected platform features.

These tools are used solely as technical assistance and do not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning users.

Where necessary to provide our services, certain information may be processed through these tools in accordance with applicable laws, this Privacy Policy and the reasonable safeguards implemented by ProDispo.

14. Cookies

Cookies and similar technologies may be used to improve the user experience, enhance platform security, remember user preferences and analyze website usage. Users can manage their cookie preferences through their web browser settings.
